Summary:
Tall tales, stories of growing up in Cuba and small-town yarns are all on the slate at the
Mesa Storytelling Festival, which takes place Friday and Saturday on the greens around Centennial Hall.
This year's schedule features six national tellers, seven regional tellers, an appearance by local radio personality Preston Westmoreland, as well as several youth tellers from local high schools.
They will tell stories, both true and embellished, that run the gamut from comedy to serious. Some storytellers will have music infused into their stories, while one works mime into his act.
